Eucharistic Ministers
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion (Eucharistic Ministers) are parishioners who desire to share the living presence of Christ may become Extraordinary Ministers of Communion. They distribute Holy Communion in the Mass, and take Holy Communion to those who are sick or homebound. There is a required, brief training/preparation workshop. Our parish secretary creates an advance schedule for our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Lectors
Lectors are members of our parish who proclaim the Word of God in our masses. They are responsible for proclaiming the First and Second Readings, the Prayer of Faithful, and the greeting at the beginning of Mass. We are always in need of lectors. Prospective lectors must undergo lector training. After training, lectors are assigned various readings in the masses they attend on a rotating schedule amongst the other lectors. Lectors are also assigned to read in our special masses throughout the year such as Christmas and Easter masses.
