First Reconciliation (or First Confession) is received ONLY after your child has been baptized. If your child has been baptized and has been enrolled in the Religious Education program and has been attending the religious instruction classes, First Reconciliation usually takes place when the child reaches the age of reason (age 7 or second grade). If your child is older and still hasn’t been baptized, or has been baptized but has not received First Reconciliation, they will be placed accordingly within the Religious Education program and will proceed from there.
