St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church is located at the intersection of University Avenue and West Fordham Road in the University Heights region of the Bronx.

Because of Diocesan regulations, our office door is now locked. To enter, press the intercom/video button on the black box to the right of the office door.

Accessibility

St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church has a ramp on the entrance to the left side of the church.
Our Offices & Rectory are on the first floor and have one small step.

Unfortunately, St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church does not have a public parking lot.
However, parking can generally be found around the church neighborhood.

SUBWAY

Take the 4 train to Fordham Road and walk west on W Fordham Rd for three blocks, passing Davidson Ave and Grand Ave until you reach the church on University Ave.

Take the D train to Fordham Road and walk west on E Fordham Rd for four blocks (or E 188th exit and walk east a short block where it merges into West Fordham Rd.) for several blocks, passing Creston Ave, Morris Ave, Walton Ave, Jerome Ave, Davidson Ave and Grand Ave until you reach the church on University Ave.

Same directions as the D train, but only during rush hour. No service to the Bronx during non-rush hours and no service at all during the weekend.

Take the 1 train to 207th St. and then the Bx 12 bus east across the University Heights bridge and up the hill. Depending on the bus (express or local) it will be just a couple of stops. The church will be on the right on University Avenue. You can also walk from the 1 train, across the University Heights brigde. The walk will take about 20 minutes and is up a very steep and lengthy hill.

Take the A train to the very last stop (Inwood 207th St) and exit towards the last car of the train. Take the Bx 12 bus near the exit on Broadway (this is the end of the bus route before the bus returns back to the Bronx), or you can walk east down 207th St for three blocks (you will pass under the elevated 1 train) and take the Bx 12 bus from the stop near 10th Ave and 207th. You can can also walk down 207th, cross the University Heights bridge and up the very steep and lengthy hill into the Bronx. It will take about 25 minutes.

BUS

Runs east/west on Fordham Rd with stops at University Ave just across the street from the church and stops just behind the church.

Runs north/south on University Ave with a stops on Fordham Rd. in front of the church.

Runs north/south on Jerome Ave (under the elevated 4 train) with a stop on Fordham Rd. Walk west on W Fordham Rd for three blocks, passing Davisdson Ave and Grand Ave until you reach the church on University Ave.
