Wedding Information

The first step in planning your wedding is to make an appointment with one of our priests
AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING.

The Catholic Church has several requirements for a valid marriage in the church. Catholic marriage is a sacrament, and as such, a pre-marital preparation program is necessary.

The priest will also let you know what documents you will need to provide, and set the rehearsal and wedding dates with you. It is advisable to book your wedding date and time with the church before you book the wedding reception and other post-wedding activities. Catholic weddings are also civil events, so you will need to obtain a civil marriage license before your wedding.

The priest will give you the Music Director/Organist’s information so you can plan the music selections with him. Any requests for special songs or requests for other groups or persons to perform in your wedding will need to be approved by the Music Director.
